Revisit the Legendary cuisine of The Ancestor. For nearly twenty years The Ancestor was the go to special occasion place to eat. Known for their bountiful array of fresh seasonal offerings at the "Salad Bar" complete with a freezer full of chilled plates and simple menu. Two items: Steak and pan-fried Chicken. The chicken was pan fried and the drippings of the cast iron skillet were used in the gravy. The meals were served family style and included buttered peas, mashed potatoes and gravy and petitie homemade biscuits with honey butter. In this class students will learn to make the little biscuits and honey butter. The students will panfry chicken, make the gravy and mashed potatoes. The Ancestor House Salad dressing will be made as well.
