So often we feel as though we need to climb and push against one another to go far and be the best. When the dust settles, we often pick up our accolades and look around to realize we are standing on a metaphorical island, exhausted and alone. What if it didn’t have to be this way? What if instead of looking across the table and wishing we had what someone else has in the ways of natural gifts and abilities, we honored them? What if instead of closing ourselves off, we create space by sliding our chairs over to make room for more? What if we say “yes” to the talents I bring to that table, AND “yes” to yours?
