Course Memo

Nothing spikes a manager’s anxiety level quite like having to terminate a team member. Sometimes, though, it’s the best thing you can do for your organization, as well as the employee’s long-term success. So how do you let someone go with compassion and dignity, and respectfully protect your business in the process? This session will outline a step-by-step process to help you manage your nerves, so you can make the best of a highly challenging situation. This session will be facilitated by Kim Poff. Kim’s successful career in Oklahoma’s state government spanned over 23 years. In addition to her 18 years in law enforcement, she oversaw the development and implementation of a brand new compliance and investigative division for a large state agency. Training and development, organizational management, investigative operations, project management and process improvement represent the core elements of her experience. She has conducted training for corporations, small businesses, universities and other clientele, and she is recognized as a subject-matter expert for facilitating workplace and community outreach learning modules.
