The daily American news cycle offers countless stories of powerful but corrupt leaders engaged in all sorts of ethical breaches.  Abuse of power can destroy careers, and bring down entire organizations and industries. So how can you rise above the fray and establish yourself as an ethical leader?  Join Oklahoma’s own Kelly Ogle, an award-winning TV anchor at News 9, as he shares why ethics are critical for every leader to consider daily, and how he’s been intentional about weaving ethics into every aspect of his career and his life. Kelly Ogle anchors News 9 at 5, 6 and 10 p.m. and shares his opinion on issues affecting the state in his Emmy winning segment "My 2 Cents" during the 10 p.m. Newscast. A nationally respected and honored Newscaster, Ogle won the Best Anchor award from the National Academy of Television Journalists in 1999. Recently, Ogle was the recipient of an Edward R. Murrow Award for coverage of the 2009 "Oklahoma Tornadoes." During his years with News 9, his investigative reports have been recognized as the best in the field by the Society of Professional Journalists in 1994 and the Oklahoma Associated Press in 1996. During his "You Paid For It" reports, Ogle chronicled wasteful spending of taxpayers' dollars by Oklahoma state government. He also anchored News 9's award-winning coverage of the Timothy McVeigh trial. Ogle is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a bachelor's degree in journalism and a minor in political science. He is the son of the late Jack Ogle, one of Oklahoma's most famous broadcast journalists and member of the Oklahoma Journalism Hall of Fame. His two brothers also work in Oklahoma's broadcast industry. Ogle considers his family his best work. He and his wife have four children, all named after Oklahoma towns. In 2001, Ogle was honored with the Don Bodard Friend of Youth Award for "Kelly's Kids." Ogle is also an avid golfer, woodworker and yardman.
