Elevate Leadership: The Power of the Strengths Zone (MSEL082418)

(08/24/2018-08/24/2018)

Course Memo

Ever wonder why some tasks are accomplished so easily, almost with very little effort, while other tasks seem difficult and laborious to complete? Ever get so engrossed in a task or project that you lose all concept of time? All individuals have natural strengths and weaknesses. In our society, even from an early age, we are told to work harder to improve our weaknesses. Studies have shown though that maximizing your strengths actually improves performance and attitude far more than working to improve weaknesses. This course will show participants the value of working in a strength zone and how employees are much more highly engaged when given opportunities to work in their own strength zones. Lorinda Schrammel has served as the Manager of Training and Development at Oklahoma State University since 2012. Lorinda’s passion is facilitating development of individuals and watching for “a-ha” moments to occur with participants.
